Crocus 'Dorothy' is a fragrant, early yellow crocus that flowers from February to March on neat 8cm stems. Its cheerful golden blooms open wide in sunshine, releasing a light, sweet scent and displaying bright orange stamens. Ideal for rockeries, containers, border fronts and naturalising in lawns or beneath shrubs, it provides valuable early nectar for bees and other pollinators. Plant in autumn in well-drained soil in sun or light shade. Once settled, 'Dorothy' multiplies over time, forming reliable drifts of yellow that signal the start of spring.
