Allium Purple Sensation Bulbs - Mulberry Cut & Dry Flowers, May to June

Allium 'Purple Sensation' is a reliable, multi-purpose ornamental onion, producing dense mulberry-purple flower heads on strong 90cm stems from May to June. Widely used in cutting gardens, it is ideal for fresh or dried flowers, with long-lasting globes that hold their colour and form in bouquets and arrangements. Plant in autumn in well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Once established, it performs year after year with minimal care. The tall, leafless stems allow the rich purple spheres to float above lower perennials, grasses and roses, adding height and late-spring drama. Fully hardy, pollinator-friendly and RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is a top choice for cottage gardens, borders and naturalistic planting. Supplied as 8 bulbs at 8cm circumference or larger. Care & Planting Full sun; well-drained soil; plant 15cm deep and 10cm apart; plant in groups towards the rear of borders; excellent for naturalising and dried arrangements.
